Job summary

Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, AL is seeking an RN for Women’s Service OB/GYN in a part-time capacity. This role supports shift supervision and coordination of nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.

The RN will use the nursing process for patient assessments and care planning, collaborating with physicians and other clinicians. Requires active RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing is required for this position.
• Active RN licensure is required, BLS is required, ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC or similar certifications may be required depending on area.
• BSN degree preferred or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform nursing assessment, planning and intervention using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to plan and implement patient care.
• Maintain quality and continuity of patient care through supervision and teamwork.
• Adhere to safety, infection control and procedural standards.
