Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking an Ultrasound Tech OB/GYN - Trainee to perform advanced obstetric ultrasound imaging and contribute to high-risk fetal assessments.

The role requires an OB-GYN RDMS credential or equivalent training, plus 2+ years of OB-GYN ultrasound experience or a one-year certified program. Work hours are typically day shifts in Lubbock, TX with TTUHSC benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years OB-GYN ultrasound experience, or a degree from a certified ultrasound program of at least 1 year.
• RDMS registry in OB-GYN required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in a medical/related field required.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Imaging: conduct detailed first/second-trimester anatomy scans, fetal echocardiograms, and Doppler studies.
• High-Risk Focus: evaluate complex cases with twins/triplets and identify fetal anomalies.
• Procedure Assistance: prepare and assist with invasive procedures like amniocentesis, PUBS, and cervical checks.
• Preliminary Diagnosis: form initial diagnoses for MFM specialists to review.
• Patient Care: communicate findings, maintain records, and ensure patient comfort during high-stakes exams.
