Job summary

Summit Health seeks a Women’s Health Sonographer to support OB/GYN physicians with ultrasound exams in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will gather clinical history, perform imaging per AIUM guidelines, and contribute to accurate reporting.

The role requires ARDMS/RDMS credentials, travel to Westchester County and Greenwich, CT locations, and strong communication and technical skills. Competitive hourly compensation is offered with benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Active OB/GYN RDMS registry.
• Willing to travel to Summit Health sites in Westchester County and Greenwich, CT.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in executing optimum quality ultrasound exams per AIUM protocols.
• Obtain essential information from patients and records for clinical correlation.
• Perform ultrasound scans and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Communicate differentials to interpreting physicians clearly.
• Generate accurate computerized reports for physician review.
• Verify documentation in the ultrasound reporting system after exams.
• Ensure assigned rooms are stocked and ready for smooth daily flow.
• Assist with sterile ultrasound-guided procedures as directed by the MD.
• Support ultrasound-guided procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery Center.
• Prepare supplies and paperwork for sterile procedures.
