Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a credentialed Ultrasonographer to perform obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic ultrasound exams. You will prepare images and reports, support physicians during procedures, and monitor fetal well-being in line with OB/GYN standards.

Qualifications

RDMS registered in OB.
Experience in OB/GYN ultrasound and fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

Perform OB, fetal and gynecologic ultrasound exams to detect anomalies and evaluate anatomy.
Assist physicians in invasive diagnostic or surgical procedures.
Provide patient education and support during ultrasound exams.
Perform fetal monitoring tests (biophysical profiles and arterial/venous studies) as indicated.
Document images and prepare comprehensive reports per AIUM/ACOG guidelines.
Maintain inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
Keep CME credits up-to-date by attending ultrasound seminars.
Maintain active ARDMS certification status.
Stay current with OB/GYN literature and best practices.
Communicate effectively with patients and families in stressful situations.
Ensure exam rooms and equipment are cleaned and prepared with aseptic technique.
Perform other duties as assigned.
