Founded in 1852, The Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,134-bed, tertiary-care teaching facility acclaimed internationally for excellence in clinical care. In the U.S. News & World Report 2021-22 "Best Hospitals" rankings, Mount Sinai Hospital is designated with highest recognition and our institution is nationally ranked in 11 specialties. The Mount Sinai Hospital consistently earns Magnet status for nursing care, and it is the only medical center in New York State to earn Disease-Specific Care Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification from The Joint Commission. The institution also received a Health Care Innovation Award from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to open the first geriatric emergency department in New York City, and its Mount Sinai Access service is one of the largest and most sophisticated inpatient transfer services in the city.

Responsibilities
The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to partner with world-renowned, Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai's OB/GYN Division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrative approach to patient care, research, and education. We pursue all dimensions of these three components, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.
Position Description
- Ensure Compliance with NYS Prenatal Care Regulations
- Ensure compliance with Medicare Teaching Physicians rules (TPR) – This relates to supervisory role of the attending for all teaching cases
- Work with Ambulatory Care Medical Directors to ensure full alignment of Obstetrical Care provided to patients across every site in our OBGYN Health System
- Oversee and manage Performance Improvement program including metrics for Quality Improvement (This should mimic the workflows and metrics in place at MSH)
- Oversee and ensure adherence to scope of practice guidelines and competency metrics for all obstetrical providers including:
- Physicians, Midwives, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners
- Partner with residency program directors and fellowship program directors to ensure that all educational goals and metrics are met
- Provide medical care in high-functioning environment
- Benefit from the educational, research, and clinical programs of a nationally ranked Medical School
- Fully integrated Electronic Health Record
