Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• HS Diploma/equivalent required
• Current unencumbered NYS RN license
• Basic Life Support certification
• 6 months previous RN experience

Responsibilities

• Brings patient to exam room, takes vital signs and documents in EMR.
• Review and update medication list for provider review and submission.
• Complete referrals and tracks patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and send to providers for review.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by provider.
• Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics.
• Educate patients regarding medications, tests and home care.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of patient specimens.
• Follow up with patients regarding test results as advised.
