Job summary

Responsibilities include assessment, medication administration, teaching plans involving family, and ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS/PALS certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient appropriately based on medical condition.
• Knowledge of ordered medications and administers as prescribed.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age including basic self-care activities.
• Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs; involve family.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures requiring technical skills.
• Identify and address psychosocial needs; coordinate with social services for hospital and post-discharge needs.
• Demonstrate cost-effective practices and reduce waste of supplies.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and promote patient safety.
• Engage in lifelong learning related to nursing.
