Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx seek a Residency Program Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to design, strategize, and launch a new OB/GYN residency program.

You will develop educational curriculum, monitor performance, reinforce teaching skills, supervise residents and staff, and ensure compliance with ACGME requirements while delivering high-quality patient care in New York City.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of New York.
Board certified in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Proven clinical and administrative leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Design, strategize, and launch a new OB/GYN residency program.
Develop an educational curriculum.
Monitor and follow up on residency performance indicators.
Strengthen teaching skills of existing staff and prepare for transition to roles as educators.
Foster the academic and professional development of residents.
Manage clinical scheduling of residents and monitor residents’ duty hours, as required by ACGME regulation.
Maintain current knowledge of and compliance with the ACGME Program Requirements.
Oversee administration and educational activities.
Direct supervision of all program residents and program staff.
Provide direct patient care outside of resident program panels, as required.
