Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Ultrasonography Technologist specializing in OB/GYN ultrasound. Under supervision of the Prenatal Diagnosis and Gynecologic Ultrasound leadership, you will perform obstetric and gynecologic diagnostic exams, assist with invasive procedures, and produce reports based on ultrasound results.

The role requires clinical allied healthcare experience, ARDMS certification at hire, and a certificate in ultrasound.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience in an Allied Healthcare related field - required
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - preferred
• Up to 2 years experience required
• Certificate of Vocational Training: Graduate of Ultrasound Certificate Program - Required
• ARDMS Certification required at time of hire
• One-year clinical ultrasound experience - Preferred
• CLEAR certification - preferred
• NTQR certification - preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound unit.
• Assists with invasive procedures using ultrasound guidance.
• Communicates with the multidisciplinary clinical team on technical aspects of patient care.
• Participates as an active care team member in the coordination of patient care.
• Provides excellent customer service for patients/families/representatives and other members of the treatment team.
• Performs ultrasound evaluations in accordance with AIUM protocols and departmental standards.
• Evaluates images/findings to rule out abnormalities and communicate findings according to departmental standards.
