UHP is the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO, known as "Kansas City's Essential Hospital," serving as the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. TMC/UH is a 547-bed, not-for-profit health system recognized for high-quality care and leadership in COVID-19 response.
UHP seeks a full-time faculty member for the Department of Ob/GYN at University Health Women's Care (UHWC) in Lee's Summit, Missouri, with hospital privileges at Truman Medical Center - Lakewood. UHWC offers academic medicine in a private practice setting, including a team of 5 certified Nurse Midwives and 2 WHNPs. The ideal candidate is a BC/BE Ob/Gyn committed to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care both in-office and at the hospital.
The candidate will join a team of Ob/Gyn specialists, a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon, a gynecologic oncologist, and certified nurse midwives in a suburban setting. Opportunities include medical student and resident education, in-office procedures, and daVinci robotic surgery.
Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience. The department supports a residency program with 32 residents, a Maternal-fetal Medicine fellowship, and newly accredited Urogynecology and Female Reproductive Surgery fellowships, with ample opportunities for research and academic achievement.
