Our Ob Hospitalists are in the hospital 24/7 to ensure consistent and timely care for every patient entering the labor and delivery unit or the obstetric emergency department.

Sentara RMH Medical Center currently sees approximately 1,800 annual deliveries and 3,000 triage visits. The hospital has been awarded the U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital for Maternity Care (2022-23). It offers spacious, private rooms, low intervention birthing suites, whirlpool tubs, multiple pain relief options, a Caesarean birth operating room, and daily consults with lactation specialists.
