Job summary

La Maestra Community Health Centers in City Heights/El Cajon, CA seeks a Physician Assistant to provide primary care services to clinic patients under supervision of Medical Director and Supervising Physician.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Physician Assistant training program.
• Current California Physician Assistant License, DEA registration, and CPR certification.
• Experience with underserved populations preferred; bilingual helpful.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and determine disease presence, record findings and history.
• Order tests and prescribe therapy with physician approval.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare staff; educate patients and families.
• Maintain patient data and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Refer to specialists as needed and participate in research protocols if applicable.
