Job summary

Women’s Health Connecticut, located in Trumbull, CT, seeks a full-time OB/GYN physician to provide obstetric and gynecologic care across two office locations affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital. The role includes diagnosing conditions, advising on treatment, and delivering comprehensive patient care in a collaborative setting.

Qualified candidates hold an MD or DO, are board certified or eligible, possess CT licensure, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health required.
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility required.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient data.
• Order or perform injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Counsel patients on treatment regimens, growth, family planning, and health maintenance.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Submit billing at time of office visits.

Overview

Physician for Women’s Health (PWH), a proud affiliate of Women’s Health Connecticut, is comprised of Physicians who demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide obstetrical and gynecological care, appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Women’s Obstetrics & Gynecology, of Physicians for Women’s Health, located in Trumbull CT, is seeking a full-time Physician to support our OB/GYN practice. Current MD staffing within the practice includes 4 MDs, 1 ND, 1 PA and 1 DO. Physicians take equal call and service patients in two office locations. The practice is affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital.

Candidates must have the ability to diagnose patient conditions and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of fetal growth and development and have the ability to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs.

Position Highlights

• Perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data including health history and results of physical examination.
• Orders or performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations and basic wound care.
• Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, follows hospitalized patients as appropriate, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
• Gain competence in Electronic Medical Record System.
• Billing submission at time of office visit.
