Job description

Tufts Medical Center is currently seeking an OB/GYN physician to join our team in Boston, MA. This full-time position will be split between the Hospitalist service and outpatient clinics.

Our clinical obstetric and gynecologic team includes dedicated physicians, advanced practice practitioners, subspecialist support, and nurses. We are a tertiary care center in Boston supporting top-notch GME programs, including an OB/GYN Residency Program with 6 residents annually (24 total), Fellowships in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Gyn-Oncology, and rotating students from Tufts School of Medicine and the Tufts Physician Assistant Program. Our team is highly collegial and focused on delivering high-quality care. We are part of a three-hospital system with nearly 5,000 deliveries annually, providing tertiary Labor and Delivery services and community pregnancy care. Tufts Medical Center’s perinatal services include a Level III NICU, lactation, labor pain management, maternal fetal medicine, and 24/7 support from anesthesia, pediatrics, and ICU. Our gynecologic subspecialists include Gyn-Oncology, Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Family Planning, and Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

How you’ll transform patient care

1. Provide OB/GYN Hospitalist coverage supervising residents on Labor and Delivery, OB ED, GYN inpatient, on-call and emergent GYN surgeries, and GYN ED consults. We handle over 1500 deliveries per year.
2. Provide routine OB/GYN outpatient care at our hospital and satellite clinics.
3. Enjoy flexible scheduling, averaging 40 hours per week.

Who you are:

1. Board certified or eligible in OB/GYN.
2. Current medical license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain one.
3. A team player eager to collaborate across disciplines to ensure excellent patient satisfaction.
4. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to academic medicine, including teaching and leadership in resident and student education. An academic appointment at the Assistant Professor level will be offered, with potential for promotion. Candidates must meet credentialing and privileges criteria.
