Baton Rouge General Medical Center is seeking a phlebotomy-focused professional to join our Laboratory team. You will collect blood samples via venipuncture and skin puncture, maintain accurate specimen records, and adhere to all lab collection procedures.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
• Excel in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior phlebotomy experience preferred, but we love to teach!
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical skills to perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Collect specimens, prepares specimens for the laboratory, and maintain accurate medical records of specimens.
• Responsible for performing phlebotomy duties in the collection of blood samples via skin puncture and venipuncture.
• Adheres to all procedures for collecting laboratory specimens.
