The Indian Health Service is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for the obstetrical nursing unit at the Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center in Zuni, NM. The incumbent reports to the Chief Nurse Executive, ensuring clinical excellence, staffing plans, and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited program and transcript required.
• Current, active nursing license in good standing and licensure verification.
• Experience supervising obstetrical nursing staff and providing obstetrical nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as nurse supervisor for the obstetrical nursing unit and perform obstetrical nursing services.
• Provide direct professional clinical nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in an inpatient setting.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; initiate IV therapy, venipuncture, medications and interventions; respond to emergencies; operate clinical equipment.
• Supervise and manage obstetrical nursing personnel; plan and assign schedules; manage leave; provide guidance; enforce policies.
