Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive women’s health and obstetric care within a collaborative team. The NP will perform preventive care, gynecologic evaluation, and obstetric services, working with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
• National board certification as an OB/GYN-focused NP or related specialty.
• Current BLS certification.
• Prescriptive authority as required by state policy.
• Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gyn ecologic and women’s health care, including preventive exams, screenings, and routine follow-up.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common gyn ecologic conditions.
• Provide contraceptive counseling and management.
• Perform and interpret routine gyn ecologic procedures and testing within scope of practice.
• Provide prenatal and postpartum care as appropriate to the practice setting.
• Educate patients regarding reproductive health, wellness, and disease prevention.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications in accordance with clinical privileges and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding complex or high-risk patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical initiatives.
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care consistent with organizational standards.
