Job summary

Responsibilities include minor procedures, prescribing medications, and collaborating with the care team. Requires DEA license, NC NP authorization, BLS, and at least 1 year of APP experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold DEA license and prescriptive authority.
• Authorized to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
• BLS certification with expiration date >90 days from start date.
• 1+ year of APP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
• Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
• Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Writes prescriptions and administers medications.
• Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determines treatment plan for patient.
• Documents all patient encounters in the medical record.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attends and contributes to group/practice meetings and policy development when requested.
