Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, ME is seeking an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative team providing comprehensive women’s health services across the lifespan, including preventive care, gynecologic evaluation, and obstetric care. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice.
  • National board certification as an Adult/Gerontology, Women’s Health, Family, or OB/GYN-focused NP.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Prescriptive authority as required by state and organizational policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive gynecologic and women’s health care, including preventive exams, screenings, and routine follow-up.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common gynecologic conditions.
  • Provide contraceptive counseling and management.
  • Perform and interpret routine gynecologic procedures and testing within scope of practice.
  • Provide prenatal and postpartum care as appropriate to the practice setting.
  • Educate patients regarding reproductive health, wellness, and disease prevention.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications in accordance with clinical privileges and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding complex or high-risk patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical initiatives.
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based care consistent with organizational standards.

Education

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice
National board certification as an Adult/Gerontology, Women’s Health, Family, or OB/GYN-focused NP
Current BLS certification
Prescriptive authority as required by state and organizational policy

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $124,500 to $136,600. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
