Job summary

Atrium Health's SouthPark OB/GYN clinic in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support obstetrics/gynecology care. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, medical histories, and assisting providers with procedures in a fast-paced specialty setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, lab duties (venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT), documentation, and managing referrals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• BLS/CPR certification per division requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming with vital signs, history, allergies, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling and referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and proper equipment.
• Delivers patient care with age-appropriate assessments.
