Job summary

Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Local travel to other offices may be needed to support staffing. Applicants will be placed on the Medical Assistant Career Ladder based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge required.
• Experience as Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and provide front/back office support according to protocol.
• Send/receive patient records compliant with HIPAA and regulations.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and collect specimens as needed.
• Schedule appointments and verify insurance information and demographics.
• Maintain infection control and assist physicians with procedures.
