Job summary

MercyOne Mason City is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN to support an Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic. The role involves patient preparation, vital signs, documentation, and basic clinical procedures to keep patient flow smooth.

Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays, 8:00am-5:00pm office hours. Must have completed an accredited MA or LPN program; MA certification/registration expected within one year, LPN license in Iowa.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• OR must have completed an accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinate patient flow, maintain accurate medical records and ensure a positive patient experience.
