Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to function in either administrative, clinical, or combined roles.

The position covers liaison duties, patient education, and documentation in Epic, with potential for hands-on nursing tasks depending on department needs. The role requires Missouri/Illinois LPN licensure, BLS within one month, and the ability to handle high-volume patient interactions in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in MO and/or IL as required by location.
• Completion of Practical Nursing program and state licensure.
• BLS certification within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between physicians and patients; handle calls and referrals, document in EMR.
• Schedule tests/procedures and coordinate with staff, patients, and physicians.
• Administer medications as prescribed and perform basic nursing tasks as directed.
• Assist in patient education, pre/postoperative instructions, and follow-up plans.
