Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) invites an OB/GYN Laborist to join the team serving NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a major teaching hospital with a broad scope of obstetric and gynecologic services, seeking a board-eligible/certified OB/GYN for inpatient care and urgent management.

Qualifications

• Board eligibility or board certification in Ob/Gyn.
• Active or eligible for a New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including labor management, deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Evaluate and manage obstetric triage patients, admissions, and emergencies.
• Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed.
• Manage obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal-fetal resuscitation.
• Perform inpatient and ED gynecologic consultations, emergency gynecologic surgery, and inpatient gynecology management.
• Collaborate with MFM, anesthesia, neonatology, nursing, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety debriefings, and education/mentorship of residents, students, and nursing staff.
• Flexible scheduling options available, including a variety of shift opportunities.
