Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center is seeking an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist for the New Life Center, a Level 3 Perinatal Center performing about 1,800 deliveries per year. The hospitalist will supervise residents and medical students and collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine in patient care.

Position balances clinical and teaching duties; Northeastern Ohio Medical University affiliation is available. Typical schedule is 36–48 hours per week (12–24 hour shifts) with flexible options; a

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with broad obstetric and gynecologic experience.
• Leadership in patient care, professional and academic activities.
• Supervise OB/GYN residents and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care in the Obstetric Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and perinatal safety.
• Respond to OB/Gyn emergencies and support admissions from Women\'s Health Clinic.
• Provide backup for family medicine services and OB/GYN consultations.
