Job summary

UT Health San Antonio seeks a Board-Certified General OB/GYN Hospitalist to join a diverse team of generalists and specialists. Primary clinical work will be at the University Hospital Palo Alto location in San Antonio, Texas.

The OB/GYN Faculty Hospitalist will manage labor and delivery, consult on inpatient and ED gynecologic patients, oversee emergencies, and perform gynecologic surgeries. Typical initial delivery volume is 1,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Medical license (MD or DO) in the State of Texas.
• Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABOG).
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• As an OB/GYN Faculty Hospitalist, you will manage labor and delivery, consult on inpatient and ED gynecologic patients, oversee ED and OB/GYN emergencies, and perform gynecologic surgical cases.
• Anticipated initial delivery volume is 1,000 annually.
• You are expected to work 14–15 shifts per month, typically 12 hours each.
• May participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
