Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an OB/GYN Hospitalist to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Hospital, a Level I trauma center. The role covers direct inpatient obstetric care, labor management, deliveries, and postpartum care with a strong emphasis on safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including management of labor, deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Manage obstetric triage evaluations and admissions.
• Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and also obstetric procedures, as needed.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal-fetal resuscitation.
• Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Promote a culture of safety through open communication and debriefing with multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Flexible schedules available that include a combination of shift options.
• Serves as a clinical resource and mentor for trainees including residents, students, and nursing staff.

Wages and Benefits Include

• Annual Base Salary: $296,000* (board eligible); $301,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $395,800** (board eligible) and $401,300** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $70,200***.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
