Job summary

TeamHealth, based at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, seeks an OB/Gyn hospitalist to provide 24-hour in-house coverage with occasional daytime outpatient service. Prenatal patients seen in the clinic will transition to the hospitalist team for inpatient care.

The ideal candidate is board-certified with full OB/Gyn skills and enjoys teaching medical students and residents, collaborating with CNMs and family medicine trainees in a busy academic environment.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/Gyn with active full-spectrum OB/Gyn skills.
• Willingness to teach and mentor medical students and residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist coverage and occasional daytime outpatient clinic work.
• Manage prenatal patients transitioning from clinic to inpatient hospital care.
• Support CNMs and family medicine residents; participate in GYN consultations and ED coverage.
