Job description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine seeks a dynamic Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist to join our Long Island team as we expand Women’s Health services across the Health System.

As one of our Attendings at Huntington Hospital, you will be part of our inpatient hospitalist team with responsibilities that include the following:

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and comprehensive patient care to all patients in Labor and Delivery, Mother-Baby, ED, inpatient consults, and operating room, including management of high-risk and routine obstetrics and gynecology cases.
  • Function as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team.
  • Function as the Safety Officer to ensure that Departmental evidenced based protocols are followed, and quality metrics are ensured.
  • Collaborate with fellows, ACPs, midwives, nurses and other health care practitioners.
Educational Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and delivery of the obstetrics and gynecology curriculum for graduate medical education.
  • Supervise and mentor obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students during clinical rotations.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives & Safety Initiatives including OB and Gyn Simulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and hospital committees.
