Job summary

The Women's Healthcare Group in Overland Park is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our patient care team. No nights or weekends. You will work with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver outstanding care in our busy practice, with training across clinical office aspects.

The CMA will welcome patients, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, and assist with documentation in the EMR. Starting wage range: $16.50-$18/hr.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification is required.
• Experience with patient care and clinical tasks is preferred.
• EMR experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
• Preparing patients and room for the health care visit
• Verify patient information; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment
• Supports patient care delivery
• Completes records by entering orders as directed by physician and recording test results into the Electronic Medical Record
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential
