Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program or Practical Nursing program.
• Minimum 160 hours of direct patient care experience as a MA or LPN obtained through professional experience or completion of a student clinical rotation.
• Current clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders, and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Assist medical providers with in‑office procedures and administer medications and immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.
