Prismhr Hire is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Billing Specialist to join our Chicago practice. The ideal candidate will have direct billing experience in women’s health and be highly proficient in athenahealth.

Responsibilities include submitting clean claims, following up on denials, posting payments, and managing patient accounts within OB/GYN workflows. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of medical billing in an OB/GYN practice.
• Experience with insurance claim submission and follow-up.
• Experience with denial management and appeals.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding for OB/GYN.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedBilling Specialistto join our OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate must havedirect billing experience in women’s health / OB/GYNand behighly proficient in athenahealth. This role requires strong knowledge of medical billing workflows, insurance follow-up, denial management, payment posting, claims resolution, and patient account management specific to an OB/GYN setting.

Required Qualifications

  • Eligibility and benefits verification
  • OB/GYN coding and billing workflows
• Understanding of commercial insurance
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding relevant to OB/GYN
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience billing for:
  • Obstetric global billing
  • Gynecologic procedures
  • Surgical claims
  • Ultrasound and in-office procedures
• Familiarity with prior authorizations, claim edits, and payer-specific billing requirements
• Credentialing or revenue cycle support experience is a plus
