Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, in partnership with First Physicians Group, seeks an anesthesiologist fellowship-trained in OB to join the team. This is a full-time role covering approximately 210 shifts annually, with additional pay for extra shifts as needed.

The position features a diverse case mix including Cardiac, Endoscopy, General Surgery, Neuro, OB, Oncology, Orthopedics, Robotics, Spine, Vascular, and Level II Trauma, with physician oversight of CRNAs and a pathway to premium

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Eligible for Florida medical license.
• Fellowship trained in anesthesiology (OB preferred).
• BE/BC in anesthesiology.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for diverse surgical cases including OB, cardiac, general, neuro, and trauma.
• Collaborate with CRNAs and surgeons to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Supervise CRNAs under physician oversight.

Highlights of the Opportunity:

• We are looking for an Anesthesiologist who are Fellowship-Trained in OB.
• A full-time anesthesiologist is expected to cover 210 shifts annually, with additional pay for extra shifts.
• Diverse mix of cases including Cardiac, Endo, General Surgery, Neuro, OB, Oncology, Ortho, Robotics, Spine, Vascular, and Level II Trauma.
• Staffing model planned is 40+ Anesthesiologists, and 100+ CRNAs covering 70+ sites including Cath Lab, IR, Endo, ECT.
• Average anesthesia volume is 65,000 cases annually.
• Physicians will have oversight of CRNAs. Ratio of Physicians to CRNAs is 1:4.
