Responsibilities

• Assists in admission, discharge, and transfer as directed by the RN.
• Sets up tables, instruments, and supplies for procedures and maintains sterile technique.
• Responds to patient calls, anticipates needs, and ensures safety through rounds and environmental checks.
• Assists in preparation and draping of patient and operative area and maintains instrument counts.
• Participates in unit meetings, ongoing education, orientation of new staff, and quality improvement activities.
• Complies with regulations, policies, procedures, and safety/infection control programs.
