GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities within their assigned area for safety, quality, and production. Focus and determination are critical to finding the right solutions and tools to address root causes.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Supervises the job performance of employees on the assigned shift, ensuring work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety, quality, production, and waste.
  2. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  3. Develops and implements action plans to meet department goals in the areas of labor efficiency, labor utilization, housekeeping, and productivity improvements.
  4. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  5. Works on continuous improvement projects.
  6. Collaborates with engineering and maintenance departments regarding process and equipment modifications to improve production and quality.
  7. Performs regular daily audits of key processes to ensure optimal performance.
  8. Measures and evaluates employee performance according to company standards for quality, productivity, and career growth.
  9. Ensures adequate skill distribution among staff to achieve production goals effectively.
  10. Builds employee skills to create a cross-functional workforce and increase efficiencies.
  11. Fosters teamwork and creates a positive work environment that promotes a strong work ethic.
  12. Maintains a safe work environment within departments.
  13. Leads communication activities to ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/distribution
  • Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Track record of individual and team success
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and organizational improvement ideas
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAP
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Self-motivated with high urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma

Pay Range: $76,050.65 - $107,759.60

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Benefits may include healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
