Description

Oak Farms Dairy is excited to extend a warm welcome to all individuals interested in joining our dynamic team as Forklift Operators. As a leading dairy producer and a part of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), we are dedicated to delivering exceptional dairy products to customers across the region. We are now seeking dependable and skilled forklift operators to contribute to our thriving operations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Loading and unloading products in trailers.
  2. Distributing pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas.
  3. Move product & materials within facility (plant and/or cooler).
  4. Maintain pallet supply for palletizer.
  5. Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.
  6. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s.
  7. Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  8. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
  9. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
  10. Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, etc.
  11. Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
  12. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.28

Qualifications:

  1. Previous forklift experience preferred.
  2. Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test.
  3. Must be able to sit and/or stand and drive for virtually the entire shift.
  4. Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  5. Must be able to work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  6. Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
  7. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).
