Job summary

Leidos seeks an Associate Distribution Engineer in Oahu, HI to develop design and construction packages for distribution systems from 4kV through 138kV, mainly for programmatic work. You will engage with utility clients to deliver high-quality projects and may travel to sites for inspections.

You'll work under a technical lead, perform structural and electrical calculations, develop permitting documents, and provide field support during construction, balancing office design with site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• Experience with NESC Standards, ESRI, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and GIS a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems 4kV–138kV.
• Ensure safety and quality expectations; travel to sites as needed.
• Perform engineering calculations and permitting; support construction and inspection.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of outages and provide engineering mitigation.
