Job summary

Leidos seeks a Distribution Engineering Supervisor based in Oahu, Hawaii, to lead a team delivering design and construction work packages for distribution systems 4 kV–138 kV. The role requires directing engineers and designers, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring safety and quality in client projects.

You will train staff, review client work, and coordinate with utilities and permitting agencies while traveling to field sites as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Experience with NESC, MicroStation/AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Designing distribution systems for overhead/underground/urban settings.
• ESRI GIS experience is a plus.
• Experience with distribution design tools such as O-Calc and SAG10 is required; BOUD, Pole Foreman, and Spida-Calc experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to develop design and construction work packages.
• Oversee day‑to‑day assignments and project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering calculations and constructability.
• Train junior engineers and designers.
• Review client work and communicate progress and schedules.
• Perform engineering calculations for pole loading, sag, voltage drop, and related specs.
• Conduct QAQC reviews of work for client submittals.
• Support construction and post‑construction activities.
• Coordinate with permit agencies and field leaders.
