C5i is seeking an experienced O9 / IBP Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines that connect ERP systems to o9 Solutions. You will ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity while aligning data models with supply chain planning requirements.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced O9 / IBP Data Engineer with strong expertise in data integration, ETL development, and data engineering practices. The ideal candidate will design and maintain robust data pipelines that connect ERP systems to o9 Solutions, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity. This role combines technical proficiency with an understanding of supply chain data models and o9 platform architecture to drive successful implementations and ongoing data management.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Integration Architecture & Design
• Design and architect end-to-end data integration solutions between ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and o9 Solutions.
• Define data flow requirements, integration patterns, and technical specifications for master data and transactional data.
• Evaluate and recommend integration tools and technologies (APIs, middleware, custom code) based on requirements and scalability.
• ETL/Data Pipeline Development
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for ingesting data from ERP and other source systems into o9.
• Build data transformation logic, mapping rules, and complex business logic to ensure accurate data representation in o9.
• Implement data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation processes to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Data Mapping & Master Data Management
• Create and maintain comprehensive data mapping documentation between source systems and o9 data models.
• Support master data management (products, locations, suppliers, customers, hierarchies) ingestion and synchronization.
• Implement data governance standards and manage data lineage and versioning.
• Data Quality & Troubleshooting
• Monitor data pipelines, identify data quality issues, and perform root-cause analysis of integration failures.
• Develop and implement data validation rules, quality metrics, and automated alerting mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies, reconcile data between systems, and implement corrective actions.
• Testing & Deployment Support
• Participate in data validation activities during SIT, UAT, and production cutover.
• Support data migration activities, parallel runs, and reconciliation during go-live.
• Develop regression test plans and data-related test cases for integration and functional testing.
• Production Support & Optimization
• Provide ongoing production support for data pipelines, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Optimize pipeline performance, manage data volumes, and ensure SLA compliance for data delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or data integration projects.
• Hands-on experience with o9 Solutions / o9 Digital Brain, including data models, APIs, and integration requirements.
• Strong proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, Talend, Informatica, MuleSoft, custom Python/SQL) or equivalent programming experience.
• Expert-level SQL skills and experience designing and optimizing database queries and transformations.
• Deep understanding of o9 data models, planning data structures, and master data requirements.
• Experience integrating with enterprise ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of data integration concepts: data mapping, master data management, reference data, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience with API development and RESTful/SOAP web services.
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Experience with SIT/UAT activities and production deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

• o9 Solutions certification or advanced technical training.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure Data Lake, AWS).
• Programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling (Kimball, Inmon methodologies).
• Knowledge of supply chain planning concepts and data requirements.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, DataDog, etc.).
• Agile/Scrum experience and familiarity with agile development practices.
