Job summary

Knobelsdorff is seeking an O&M Technician to support its Power Services division. You will perform corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication systems, and participate in commissioning activities across multiple solar plants.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical work, a Minnesota electrical license, and knowledge of DAS/SCADA, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety. Travel locally and regionally is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Minnesota Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of electrical hazards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience with fiber optics, networking, and communication systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred experience with DAS, SCADA, thermal imaging, solar commissioning, IV curve tracing, and heavy equipment operation
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history and ability to travel locally, regionally, and overnight as needed
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • The O&M Technician supports the Power Services division by performing corrective and preventative maintenance across multiple solar plants.
  • Troubleshooting, and commissioning activities for electrical, mechanical, and communication systems.
  • Ensure solar facilities operate safely, reliably, and with minimal downtime.
  • Travel to local, regional, and overnight sites as needed.
  • Uphold safety standards and KE values in all field activities.

Job Description

The O&M Technician supports the Power Services division by performing corrective and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities across multiple solar plants. You'll be responsible for maintaining and servicing electrical, mechanical, and communication systems that directly impact plant performance, safety, and reliability. Success in this role means ensuring solar facilities operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime, all while upholding KE's commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical industry
  • Minnesota Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master required)

Pay Range

Pay Range: $40-$65/hr plus per diem and incentive opportunities.
