Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Operations & Maintenance leader responsible for executing O&M operations at contract sites. Lead the staff, manage programming and monitoring of BAS, and ensure client satisfaction through strong communication and proactive maintenance.

The role requires five+ years in operations and maintenance, BAS proficiency, and demonstrated leadership. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, with a focus on building systems and HVAC operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
• Five or more years of experience in operations and maintenance.
• Able to program and operate Building Automation Systems.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and their operation.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Able to manage and train entry-level personnel.
• Able to deal with customers and others at all levels.
• Knowledge of JCI procedures and policies.
• Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute O&M operation for contract sites.
• Supervise staff assigned to mechanical operations, programming, monitoring, and alarm response.
• Communicate with client and O&M team on contract execution.
• Hire, train and schedule staff for O&M contractual obligations.
• Program and monitor alarm responses and mechanical operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain and update all assigned systems and records.
• Provide regular management reports to the O&M team and client.
• May be on call 24/7 for facility emergencies.
