O&M Process and Controls Specialist (EIR Technician 3)

We are seeking an O&M Process and Controls Specialist (EIR Technician 3) to join our Houston, TX team. Come join us!

Job Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Controls Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and related equipment. Perform inspections to ensure safety and performance standards.
  • Instrumentation and Process Control: Support operation and calibration of instrumentation such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, and level controllers. Implement and maintain automation controls (PLC, SCADA) for process management and optimization.
  • Operations and Maintenance (O&M): Conduct routine monitoring, preventive maintenance, and system optimization for groundwater recovery and treatment systems. Assist in commissioning new systems.
  • Fault Finding and Problem Solving: Quickly identify issues affecting equipment, minimize downtime, and develop long-term solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain logs, reports, and assist in preparing SOPs and technical documents.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with engineers, operators, and contractors. Provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, participate in audits and training.
  • Travel and Fieldwork: Perform site work primarily in Texas, with occasional travel. Be available for emergency support.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance technology or related field, with 5+ years in industrial automation and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., work outdoors, and at heights.
  • Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and process control equipment.
  • TWIC or ability to obtain one; pass DISA background check.
  • Complete OSHA HAZWOPER training and wear PPE.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good record.
Technical Requirements

Strong understanding of electrical/control systems, process operations, especially in environmental remediation. Experience with PLC/SCADA systems is highly valuable.
