Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an O&M Network Engineer for a direct placement in Springfield, Virginia. The role focuses on supporting mission-critical network environments, configuring devices, and performing root cause analysis to sustain operations.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5–8 years in network engineering, WAN/routing expertise (BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN), and cloud networking (ExpressRoute, Azure VNets). TS/SCI eligibility preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience and 5-8 years of experience in network engineering.
• Experience configuring network devices, navigating CLI environments, deploying patches, and performing configuration changes.
• Experience with WAN and routing technologies, including BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN.
• Expertise with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and designing networks for efficiency and resiliency.
• Experience with cloud networking technologies, including ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Networks, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud orchestration and network device management.
• Understanding of Layer 1 technologies, including cable plant and circuits.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies, including STIGs, KGs, traffic management, and secure network transport
• 0% outside the local area (all travel within 50 miles from Site)

The O&M Network Engineer is expected to have experience in network engineering, network device configuration, routing and transport technologies, cloud networking, network security, and infrastructure deployment. Compensation for the O&M Network Engineer:

• Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 *depending on experience*
