- Perform operations, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used in offshore energy generation
- Manage routine inspections and corrective work on generators, switchgear, transformers, and high- and low-voltage equipment
- Maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver maintenance schedules and repairs
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment in accordance with governing documentation and company procedures
- Support commissioning and delivery of HV and LV equipment, including design reviews, acceptance tests, system walkdowns, and handovers
- Coordinate with suppliers and other disciplines
- Provide technical expertise and decision-making support to leaders
- Ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, timely, and to required quality standards
- Document maintenance history and completion of activities
- Develop and participate in continuous improvement assessments of electrical maintenance processes, procedures, and operating manuals
- Conduct quality assurance activities and assess equipment-failure risks
- Manage modifications, upgrades, improvements, repairs, and new technologies for electrical equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and faults
- Lead root-cause failure analysis for complex failures
- Follow electrical safety protocols, use PPE, and report safety concerns or incidents
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- 7+ years of full-time experience commissioning, operating, and/or maintaining electrical equipment rated at 600V or above
- Experience in a wind farm, power plant, steam generation, utility environment, or regulated industry
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic circuit drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with NERC standards and compliance is a plus
- Experience with relay protection is a plus
- Knowledge of SAP Work Management Systems or another CMMS
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Ability to share clear and concise action plans for specific issues
