Job summary

Ohana is building a content team in New York to film street interviews and craft social videos about rent, housing, and student life at NYU. You should have access to a quality camera or a newer iPhone and good audio equipment.

The role is highly creative and people-focused, with flexibility to work with a friend. You'll go to NYU campus and nearby student areas, ask sharp questions, develop content ideas, and handle basic editing to keep videos tight and engaging.

Qualifications

• Experience filming and editing content for social media or video projects.
• Access to quality camera or newer smartphone and good audio equipment.
• Comfortable approaching students and creating authentic, engaging content.

Responsibilities

• Go to NYU campus and surrounding student areas to film street interviews.
• Ask sharp, engaging questions that lead to interesting or funny responses.
• Come up with content ideas around rent, housing, roommates, dating, and student life at NYU.
• Own basic editing to ensure videos are tight, visually strong, and high quality.
• Receive bonuses tied to video engagement and performance.

Join our content team creating street interviews and social content about rent, housing, and student life at NYU. Your videos will be seen by millions of people across our Instagram and TikTok portfolio, including NYU Subletting, Girls Who Sublet, and Artists Who Sublet. We're looking for people with experience filming and editing content. Ideally, you already have access to a quality camera or newer iPhone and good audio equipment. The role is highly creative and people-focused. You should be comfortable approaching students, thinking on your feet, and creating content that feels authentic, slightly edgy, and highly shareable. You'll have the flexibility to work with a friend, either filming them or having them film you.
