NYU Langone Health Heart Failure Cardiologist
Seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to develop and lead an Advanced Heart Failure Program at the Manhattan VA Medical Center in partnership with the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Program at NYU Langone Health. The individual will split their time between the Manhattan VA and NYU Langone (located a few away), which is a leading Advanced Heart Failure Program with expertise in all areas of heart failure, including cardiac sarcoid, amyloid, MCS, and one of the largest heart transplant programs in the country. NYU Langone Health has been an affiliate with the Manhattan VA Medical Center for more than 20 years and shares both faculty and training programs. The Manhattan VA is the cardiovascular referral center for over 9 other VA hospitals and clinics in NY, NJ, and eastern PA, and offers complex and high-risk coronary interventions, advanced EP procedures, cardiothoracic surgery, and the full gamut of cardiac imaging including cardiac CT and CMR. Research opportunities and support through the VA Office of Research and Development, as well as the NYU NIH-funded Clinical Translational Science Institute and Cardiovascular Clinical Research Center, are also available.
We are seeking an early to mid-career, Board Certified/Board Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist who has proximate experience (or training) with the management of acute mechanical support devices, LVADs, and patients pre- and post-heart transplant. Comfort in managing patients in the critical care space is necessary. This is a full-time, academic position with vast clinical, research, and teaching opportunities at one of the top 10 academic medical centers in the United States.
