Kaleida Health in Buffalo, NY, seeks a Reimbursement Specialist to review patient accounts and payer remittance to ensure correct NYS HCRA surcharge reporting. You will classify visits, monitor payer lists, and track surchargeable payments as part of regulatory compliance. Hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
in a hybrid work arrangement. A minimum associate degree in Business/Finance or Accounting and at least three years in patient financial services are required; a Bachelor's is preferred.

In support of the financial objectives of the organization, the purpose of this position is to review patient accounts and payer remittance advices to identify appropriate classification for the NYS HCRA (Health Care Reform Act) Surcharge reporting requirement. This includes making necessary changes to visit level carriers and/or plans, monitoring the electing payer list and tracking surchargeable patient payments. Complete monthly regulatory reporting for NY HCRA surcharge and Cash Assessments. This includes collection of data from multiple sources in order to determine amounts payable to the state by Kaleida Health. Complete Medicaid revalidation and credentialing applications from insurance carriers.
