Paul Hastings’ M&A Practice Group is seeking skilled Corporate Associates with two to five years of experience in mergers and acquisitions to join their team in New York. This is a posting for an associate working predominately in Strategic and Public M&A, not Private Equity, which is a separate practice group at Paul Hastings.
Candidates must have significant experience handling private and public company M&A transactions. They must also have substantial experience running deals and managing high level responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have a business development-oriented mindset with a good understanding of corporate law and market terms as well as effective deal management skills.
Associates will work with autonomy and be part of a dynamic, growing practice that includes representation of parties in connection with public and private company transactions as well as some takeover defense matters (including shareholder activism) in a broad range of industries.
U.S. law firm experience is required. Candidates must have outstanding academics and be admitted to (and be in good standing to) the New York State Bar.
Salary and compensation: The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $235,000 and a maximum of $390,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
