About the Front Desk Associate Role

As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring an exceptional “Judgement Free” member experience!

Daily responsibilities include:

• Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assisting with questions or concerns during check-in.
• Promoting our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed.
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with inquiries.
• Performing membership functions such as sign-ups, updates, cancellations, and billing.
• Conducting prospective member calls and tours to assess their needs.
• Executing retail transactions and driving sales goals.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of all equipment and amenities, including restrooms and communal spaces.
• Addressing safety, cleanliness, and maintenance issues promptly.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $16.50 to $17.75, with potential variation based on factors unrelated to protected classes.
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance; disability; life insurance; 401(k); flexible spending accounts; vacation, sick, and holiday pay; free Black Card Membership; and more (full-time benefits may vary).

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided).
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Standing and moving throughout the club during shifts.
• Communicating in person and on the phone.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Encountering chemicals during cleaning.
• Frequent movement, bending, and twisting.
