Job summary

The Plant Library is seeking an experienced driver for a short-term booking from September 15–21 to support our NY event installs. You will operate a 26\' box truck between our Industry City studio and event sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn and assist with loading and unloading live plants and event gear.

Responsibilities include navigating tight NYC streets, coordinating with the onsite install team, and performing basic vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C driver\'s license is required.
• Proven experience driving 26\' box trucks in urban environments.
• Ability to lift/move plants weighing 50+ lbs.
• Available for the full September 15–21 window.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 26\' box truck through NYC including tight streets and loading zones.
• Safely load and unload potted plants (50+ lbs) and event equipment.
• Coordinate pickup/drop-off timing with the onsite install team.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report issues before/after routes.
• Assist with carrying and placing plants onsite as needed.

You'll be driving a 26' truck loaded with live potted plants and event equipment between our Industry City studio and event sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and helping with loading/unloading on both ends.

Requirements

• Comfortable lifting and helping move plants weighing 50+ lbs
• Available and reliable for the full September 15–21 window
• Strong communication and punctuality — routes are tied to event timing
